Stanley L. Taylor of Crawfordsville passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Franciscan Health of Lafayette. He was 73.
He was born April 23, 1951, at Salem, Indiana, to Hobert and Loral Maudlin Taylor.
After high school Stan attended Nashville Diesel College before working most of his career at Dicaperl Mineral Corporation in Crawfordsville. He was a former member of The Maurice Thompson Archery Club and the Crawfordsville Gun Club. In his spare time, he liked to hunt, trap shoot and play cards.
On Feb. 13, 1971, Stan married Linda Gravenes and she survives.
Surviving family includes: wife Linda Taylor; children, Scott (Allenia) Taylor and Angi Taylor; grandchildren, Jerod Taylor, Zachary Taylor, Jacob Cramer, Cherokee Carlton and Dakota Carlton; great-grandchildren, Haydin Taylor, Ryder Taylor, Remmy Stewart, Rocki Carlton, Cole Negele and Ethan Fruits; sister Vicki Taylor; and two nephews, Mike and Trace.
Stan was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws Cecil and Marie Gravenes.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 12 at Burkhart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville. Service will follow at 1 p.m. Burial after at Oak Hill Cemetery North. The family asks for everyone to come dressed casually.
