Larry D. “Rev” Taylor, 82 of Alamo passed away March 26, 2024, at Ben Hur Health and Rehabilitation.

He was born at Culver Union Hospital to Denvil and Helen Alberta (Lewis) Taylor.

Larry grew up in Crawfordsville and graduated from White’s Institute in Wabash, Indiana. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines. Larry retired from Raybestos, where he worked in maintenance. He enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling, and coaching area softball teams. Larry was an avid Euchre player.

Larry’s mother passed away in December of 1955, when he was only 13 years old. His father later married Thelma Butler in January of 1965.

Larry will be deeply missed by brother Rex (Lana) Taylor; sister Kathy (Jeff) Carlton; step-brother Byron Butler; granddaughters, Chelsea (Dustin) Morman and Ashley Bazanni; great-grandson Ezra Morman; step-children, Debbie (Stuart) Lee, David (Patti) Harvey and Les (Melody) Farley; many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother Thelma; wife Martha; children, Cassandra Taylor and September Krout; and step-children, Donald Harvey and Dina Barrett.

A graveside service will be held for Larry at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2 at Oak Hill Cemetery North. Military honors will be presented by the United States Marines and Post 72 Honor Guard. Sanders Funeral Care Waynetown was entrusted with care.
