Out of 527 micropolitan areas studied, Crawfordsville also ranks an impressive #2 in Indiana, emphasizing its strong economic performance and growth potential.

The report study highlights the economic strength and future potential of communities with populations between 10,000 and 50,000 residents. Crawfordsville’s ranking reflects the city’s resilience and adaptability in key sectors such as manufacturing, fostering a high quality of life for residents, and tourism.

“This ranking is a reflection of our commitment to sustainable growth, innovation, and the continued efforts of our local industries and workforce. Crawfordsville is a vibrant community, and we are honored to be recognized as one of the nation’s most dynamic micropolitans,” Mayor Todd Barton said.

Crawfordsville’s economic success is driven by strong local manufacturing and a forward-thinking approach to community development.
