Rena (Hoogeveen) Bush, 92, of Veedersburg passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024, at the Lane House in Crawfordsville.
Rena was born Oct. 29, 1931, at Witmarsum, Netherlands. She was the daughter of Berendt Hoogeveen and Hittje (Steensma) Hoogeveen. Rena married James L. Bush on Aug. 20, 1954. He preceded her in death Jan. 27, 2000.
Rena was a dedicated homemaker and she enjoyed needlepoint and crocheting.
Surviving are two children, Alice Barnette and Benjamin Bush, both of Veedersburg; two sisters, Tina Wines and Alice Wines, both of Lebanon; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Rena was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter Helen Fenters; three brothers, Wietze Hoogeveen, Garret Hoogeveen and Libbe Hoogeveen; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Dickerson Funeral Home on Saturday, June 22 from 10 a.m. until service time at noon, with Pastor Greg McDonald officiating. Inurnment will follow at Cold Spring Cemetery in Veedersburg.
