FRANKFORT — Fountain Central cross country teams competed Saturday in the Clinton Prairie Invitational. The girls’ team finished third by placing five runners in the top 20.
Place and times for the Mustangs were Raley Akers third, 24:32; Lilly Newlin ninth, 26:00; Bailey Hoagland 10th, 26:09; Madi Morgan 11th, 26:11; Hayley Kler 17th, 27:32; and Kaylee Spragg 21st, 30:55.
The Fountain Central boys’ team only had three runners, but they all did well.
Lucas Kirkpatrick was 21st and ran the course in a time of 20:46. Ayden Donaldson finished 24th in 21:11 and Brandon Pigg was 25th with a time of 21:14.
Both teams travel Thursday to Hanging Rock to take on Seeger.
