LAFAYETTE — North Montgomery boys’ and girls’ cross country teams participated Saturday at the Harrison Invitational, “Champ at the Amp," in Lafayette.
The boys’ team scored seventh overall with Jack Rogers leading the team with a 16th place finish with a time of 18:16.
The girls’ team scored eighth overall with Katelyn Woolwine placing 30th with a time of 24:47. Sara Hopper finished 31st with a time of 24:45.
“This was a great season opener for both teams as every athlete improved their times significantly from the 2023 season opener,” Charger coach Tim Lueking said. “It is going to be an exciting season for North Montgomery cross country.”
The Chargers will be back in action Thursday at the Seeger Invitational.
