Cora L. Cook, 84, of Ladoga passed away early Wednesday morning, July 3, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Cora was born Oct. 9, 1939, at Danville, Illinois, to the late Kenneth L. Keller and Vera L. Caldwell (Scott).
She was a 1957 graduate of Crawfordsville High School. On Aug. 25, 1957, Cora and Richard “Dale” Cook were married. They had shared 66 years of marriage before he preceded her in death March 15, 2024.
Cora loved playing cards. She enjoyed every moment with her family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also a wonderful caregiver for those in need. Whether it was those in her own family or just a friend in need. She cared for them as if they were her own.
Survivors include: her children, Madonna Fisher of Ladoga, Trina (Chip) Leonard of Crawfordsville and Michelle (Audie) Simpson of Crawfordsville; sister Teresa (Tom) Cedars of Crawfordsville; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Dale Cook and son Roger Cook.
Family and friends will gather for a celebration of life from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 27 at the Old Normal, 100 N. Harrison St., Ladoga, with the service to follow at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Ladoga Cemetery for Cora and Dale.
