CEL&P to ‘Fill the Bucket’ with a supply drive

Donations to benefit United Way supported agencies

Posted

Crawfordsville Electric Light & Power employees are hosting their third “Fill the Bucket” community supply drive.

This year’s drive will benefit the non-profit agencies associated with United Way in Montgomery County. As a public power provider, CEL&P takes pride in providing our customers with reliable, low-cost electricity while giving back to the community we serve.

From now through Oct. 9, customers are invited to join CEL&P employees as they “Fill the Bucket” by bringing donations to CEL&P’s lobby, drive-thru or given directly to CEL&P employees that you see working in the community.

On Oct. 10, CEL&P employees will deliver the collected items to the non-profit agencies associated with United Way in Montgomery County.

CEL&P has been part of the Crawfordsville community since 1890. The company and employees are always looking for ways to give back to those we serve. Ending the supply drive during Public Power Week allows our employees and customers to come together and support our local non-profit agencies while celebrating the benefits of public power.

Suggested donation items include but are not limited to:

• various cleaning supplies

• copy paper

• diapers

• pull-ups

• art supplies

• board games

• towels

• twin bed sheets
