Patricia Lorraine Stemick, affectionately known as Pat, passed away Friday, Aug. 23, 2024, in her hometown, at Lane House in Crawfordsville.
She was born Sept. 17, 1949, to Russell and Esther Richardson.
Pat was a well known member of the community, due to her beautiful red hair.
She graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1967 and married her high school sweetheart, Joe Stemick. They raised two children, Brian Stemick and Tim Stemick. Pat and Joe were blessed with five grandchildren, Leslie, Jessica, Matt, Tristen and Marissa; and five great-grandchildren.
Pat’s hobbies included gardening, reading novels and preparing for family get-togethers and vacation trips. Pat would love to prepare for special holiday gatherings. Pat’s priority was always family first. Pat and Joe lived in Indiana, Hawaii (while Joe was in the service), Virginia and Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Esther Richardson; her sisters, Carolyn (Richardson) Deere, Shirley (Richardson) McClaine and Janet (Richardson) Peters; and her brothers, Max Richardson and Bob Richardson.
She is survived by her husband Joe; her children, Brian and Tim; her grandchildren, Leslie, Jessica, Matthew,Tristen and Marissa, along with their families plus five great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life for Pat (Richardson) Stemick will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 at Calvary Chapel, 915 Whitlock Ave., Crawfordsville.
Pat Richardson Stemick will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her spirit of generosity and love will continue to inspire those who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
