Ordella Kathleen (Wall) Prince, 85, Veedersburg, passed away at her residence with her family by her side on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024, at 11:14 p.m.

Ordella was born in Danville, Illinois, on Nov. 3, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Herschel Napoleon Wall and Audrey Viola (Minick) Lowry and her step-father James Lowry, who helped raise her. Ordella was raised in Veedersburg, graduating from Veedersburg High School in 1956. She was head majorette for the high school marching band. She later moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1969 and returned to Veedersburg in December of 1992.

Ordella formerly worked for MasterGuard in Veedersburg and later stayed at home to help raise her grandchildren. She later began working at Walmart Optical Lab in Crawfordsville until her retirement in 2014.

Ordella enjoyed bowling and bowled on a Tuesday Night Women’s League at Sycamore Lanes in Covington. She enjoyed the time spent with her family, especially the time babysitting and helping raise some of the grandchildren.

She was first married to Arvel Ray Cagle. She later married Charles Ray Prince who preceded her in death Feb. 3, 1989.

Ordella leaves behind her children, Kimberly Bates, Veedersburg, Rebecca Sue (Wallace) Allman, Love Lady, Texas, Melissa (Bryan Cox) Mitchell, Veedersburg, and Stephen Cagle, Veedersburg; step-son Stephen Charles (Loretta) Prince, who was raised in the home, and now lives in Kingman; siblings, Stella (Paul) Doss, Veedersburg, Fred (Diane) Lowry, Shelbyville, James (Linda) Lowry, Stone Bluff, and Delorse (Steve) Livengood, Godfrey, Illinois; grandchildren, Charlene (Jeremey) Davis, Michael (Melissa Sanders) Cook, Dane (Amy) Dinger, Katrina (Phillip) Elliott, Jeremie (Erin) Dinger, Taylor Cagle, Damon (Erica) Prince, Dylan Prince and Xavier Prince; her bonus grandchildren, which whom she raised in the home, Randi (Devin) Langley and Tyler (fiancée Jaycee Chapman) Cagle; 19 great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandson Maverick Dinger.

Ordella was preceded in death by son Donald Cagle; step-son, Dennis Prince, who was raised in the home; granddaughter Kathleen Polasek; and sister Wilma Richey.

Visitation will be held at the Maus Funeral Home, Hillsboro, on Sunday, Oct. 6 from 3 p.m. until the service time at 5 p.m. with her brother-in-law, Pastor Steve Livengood officiating.
