Diana L. Catterson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully Aug. 2, 2024, at Crawfordsville, at the age of 76.

Diana was born Feb. 1, 1948, at Crawfordsville, to the late Robert and Virginia (Davenport) Miles.

Diana was the cherished wife of the late Joseph Catterson, with whom she shared 59 years of marriage. Joseph preceded her in death May 8, 2024.

Together, they raised four children, Billy (Marsha) Catterson, Gary Catterson, Rodger (Matilda) Catterson and Twilla (Roger) Gilbert. Diana’s legacy continues through her five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Diana is also survived by her siblings, Ernie (Barb) Miles of Milton, Florida, Robert (Carolyn) Miles of Rockville, Shirley (Art) Schirmer of Chester, Illinois, and Linda (Fred) Bashor of Mountain Home, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by sister Carol Ann Miles, who passed away in September 1985.

Diana’s extended family of nieces and nephews held a special place in her heart.

A devoted stay-at-home mom, Diana’s greatest passion was nurturing and caring for her family. Later in life, she found fulfillment working at St. Bernard’s Catholic School in Crawfordsville, where she continued to share her love for children until her retirement.

Diana and Joseph enjoyed traveling together, with their annual trips to Branson, Missouri, being a highlight of their many adventures. Diana’s love for children was evident in her joy of holding babies and her role as a loving grandmother.

Diana will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her loving spirit and the many memories she created will live on forever in the hearts of her family and fr Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at noon. Jeff Blankenship will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery North.
