SOCCER

Covington defeats North White

Covington’s girls’ soccer team defeated North White 9-0 on the Trojans’ senior night.

Covington wasted little time by getting a goal by Haley Holycross in the fourth minute mark of the contest. Covington led 4-0 at the break.

Other Trojan goals were made by Rhyane Beck, Bre Bailey, Allie Hunt, Kenzie Gassaway, Summer Krepton and two by Preslee Shaw.

The Covington defense did not allow any North White shots on goal.

“It was a fun night celebrating our seniors,” Trojan coach Damon Hegg said. “The team is really getting it all together with the sectional just around the horizon.”

Covington plays Thursday at Faith Christian.
