Athenians swept by RP

Crawfordsville lost 3-0 Tuesday against Riverton Parke. All three games were close, but the Athenians were unable to secure a victory. The three games scores were 25-20, 26-24, 27-25.

Reese Price led the Athenians with 13 kills and teammate Ellie Walker had 16 digs.

Riverton Parke improved to 6-3 and Crawfordsville is 5-2.

The Athenians host Seeger today.

 

Tiger Cubs beat Mounties

Southmont traveled Tuesday to Greencastle and lost to the Tiger Cubs 3-2.

The Mounties led 2-0 before Greencastle made the comeback. Game scores were 25-14, 29-27, 24-26, 21-25, 14-16.

Southmont’s Catie Himes had 17 kills and Ella Barry recorded 11 kills. Kenzie Douglas served four aces.

Greencastle junior Allie Landry reached the 1,000-career assist milestone during the match.

Southmont is now 3-4 and Greencastle improved to 4-4.

Southmont is home today against Covington.

 

Seeger sweeps Mustangs

Fountain Central was swept 3-0 Tuesday by Seeger to open both team’s Wabash River Conference schedule.

Game scores were 2-25, 10-25, 22-25 giving the Patriots their first win of the season.

The loss dropped the Mustangs to 3-4, 0-1 WRC. Seeger is 1-5, 1-0 WRC.

Schlarman, Illinois will travel to Fountain Central today.

 

SCHEDULE CHANGES

Crawfordsville’s boys’ tennis match at Parke Heritage has been rescheduled for Sept. 9.

Southmont girls’ soccer game Tuesday versus Lebanon has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Oct. 2.
