Paula Ann Goff, 71, of rural Battle Ground, passed away unexpectedly in her home on her beloved Belle Oaks Ranch.

She was born June 19, 1953, at Crawfordsville, daughter of the late Paul Ray and Lois Marie Miles Goff. Paula was a 1971 graduate of Coal Creek Central High School where she excelled in music and served as drum majorette. She received a scholarship and attended Butler University majoring in music for two years.

Paula was employed 40 years as a “meterman,” first for PSI which later became Duke Energy from where she retired.

Paula was a “free spirit,” very independent and not afraid of hard work. She had a passion for animals, especially horses. She possessed a big heart and lovingly shared her love, experience and expertise of horses with many family members and friends over the years. Which in turn have that same passion and share their knowledge. She had been a member of the American Quarter Horse Association for many years.

She is survived by two brothers, Dan (Martha) Goff and Alan (Michele) Goff, both of Crawfordsville; and nieces and nephews, Julie (Scott) Reed, Matt (Jennifer) Goff, Christy (Robert) LaFaver, Laurie Bane, Carl (Mary) Goff and Eric Goff.

Preceding her in death are her parents and sister Janet.

Private family burial took place Friday morning in New Richmond Cemetery.  Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate assisted the family.
