Kathy Anne Haltom, formerly of Crawfordsville, passed away Sunday morning, June 23, 2024, at Aspen Trace in Greenwood at the age of 76.
Kathy was a telephone operator for 28 years at Indiana Bell. She later worked 12 years at Nucor Steel. She was a member of the Pioneer Club through Indiana Bell and a former board member for Montgomery Place Condominiums. She attended church at Iglesia Hermandad. She also enjoyed the senior groups at Martinsville and Crawfordsville. She liked reading, playing euchre, watching Home Shopping Network and playing video games. She also collected miniatures and went swimming.
Born Feb. 13, 1948, at Crawfordsville, she was the daughter of Marvin L. Haltom and Dama Jo Linn Haltom Turner. She attended school at Ladoga and graduated from New Ross High School.
Surviving family includes: two brothers, Tom Haltom (Kathy) of Mason, Ohio and Tim Haltom (Miriam) of Crawfordsville; sister Vicki Ketchum (Gary) of Crawfordsville; and adopted daughter and caregiver, Jeannine Lee Ferrer (David).
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Richard Haltom; and her companion, Gary Lane.
Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Friday at Burkhart Funeral Home. Services will begin at 5 p.m., led by Pastor Steve Lee. She will be laid to rest at the Linden Cemetery in a family gathering at a later date.
