James (Junior) A. Oaks Jr., passed away July 16, 2024, in Mellott, at the age of 72.
He was born Nov. 28, 1951.
Junior is survived by his daughters, Jamie Spencer and Jackie York; grandchildren, Steven and Breyanna Spencer, Zach Oaks and Dylan and Matthew York; great-grandchildren, Kolten, Kylee and Karter Spencer, and Braelyn and Jhett Lee; and brothers, Ben and Tim Oaks and Dennis Strong.
He was preceded in death by son Rodney Oaks; father James A. Oaks Sr.; and mother and step-father, Helen and Jack Strong.
Junior’s hobbies were playing cards, mushroom hunting, lotto and big fish stories.
A celebration of life will be held in honor of Junior. Details of the service will be determined and announced at a later date.
