Duke helps fund local food distribution

Posted

Duke Energy is supporting Food Finders Food Bank with a $10,000 grant to make products such as dairy, meat and produce available to local families in need.

The products will be distributed 3-5 p.m. Aug. 27 at the FISH Food Pantry of Montgomery County, located at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 1306 E. Main St., Crawfordsville. Products will be offered to Montgomery County residents on a first-come, first-served basis.

“We are proud to support organizations like Food Finders and the great work they do throughout the year to keep families fed, healthy and secure,” said Dagny Zupin, government and community relations manager at Duke Energy. “With this grant funding, Food Finders will be able to provide fresh, nutritious staples for those in Montgomery County who need them most.”

Duke Energy representatives will be on-site to offer assistance with Duke Energy billing questions and information on electric bill management programs, energy assistance funds and energy efficiency programs.
