Dining with the Chefs: Helping those in need

The Montgomery County Free Clinic will celebrate the 10th annual Dining with the Chefs event Saturday at Wabash College.

You won’t want to miss Montgomery County’s premier culinary experience. And you’re in luck, because registration has been extended for one day only. Vegetarian options are available upon request.

“Many of the residents we serve rely on us for the most basic of needs. Whether it’s a veteran who needs a tooth extraction, my neighbor’s grandmother who needs a meal delivered daily, or the migrant worker who needs medical care — the Free Clinic stands in the gap. As our services continue to expand, our need for donations is also increasing. I’m proud to support this nonprofit financially, and I hope others will join me as they are able,” said board president Naomi Horton.

If you cannot attend, you can still support the work of the Montgomery County Free Clinic. Please consider a donation or bid on a silent auction item. You can even bid from the comfort of your couch. Pre-bidding and buy-it-now options are now available on more than a dozen items, such as: brand new hearing aids (provided by Crawfordsville Audiology), Colts tickets, a sailing experience, dinner and wine packages, local pieces of art and numerous self-care packages. All of the proceeds will support the ongoing work of the clinic. The online silent auction will end at 8:45 p.m. EST on Saturday.
