Car seat safety clinic set for Sept. 28

Posted

Franciscan Health Crawfordsville will host a car seat safety clinic in conjunction with the Montgomery County Health Department and Safe Kids Greater Lafayette from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 28 at Crawfordsville Fire Station 2.

A certified car seat technician will be present to check if attendees have the proper seat for their child and if those seats are installed properly. The technicians are trained to educate attendees on how to install and properly use the car seat in the vehicle.

The car seat clinic is for local families and caregivers and every participating family will receive a $10 gas gift card (one per vehicle). The child must be present for the car seat inspection. The only exception is if someone is expecting a child. Qualified families may receive a new car seat (certain restrictions apply).

Car and booster seats provided through generous donations from State Farm.

Register online for the Crawfordsville car seat clinic as space is limited.

Crawfordsville Fire Station 2 is located at 1509 E. Main St.
