GIRLS SOCCER

Tigers top Chargers

North Montgomery girls traveled to Sagamore Athletic Conference foe Lebanon on Saturday and lost 7-3.

The game was close until the last few minutes of the contest. With North Montgomery trailing 3-4 late in the second half, Lebanon was able to score three goals.

Chargers scoring goals were Shophea Shea, Gracie Ratcliff and Courtney Bennett. Courtney and Alexis Bennett recorded assists.

“The game was a lot closer than the final score indicated,” Charger coach Julie Hodges said. “We did a great job matching the physicality and speed of Lebanon. This sounds repetitive, but this was another positive step in the right direction. We are starting to put things together.”
