F.C. Grand Prix results

Crawfordsville, North Montgomery and Fountain Central participated in Saturday’s Fountain Central Grand Prix. A total of 16 schools competed.

Crawfordsville’s girls team placed third overall. Katherine Novak again led the Athenians by placing seventh in a time of 22:22.

Remy Swinford was 15th with a time of 24:05. Caroline Novak finished 21st in 24:39 and Soren Olofson was 25th with a time of 25:04.

Melane Dowd placed 34th in 26:04 and Li Li Yeung was 50th in 28:33. Paige Johnson finished 63rd in 34:32.

The Athenian boys placed fourth. Hutton Haas led the way with a ninth place finish with a time of 18:39.

Other placings and times for Crawfordsville were Jantzen Thayer 12th in 19:08, Cole Capper 22nd in 19:49. Alex Sanchex finished in 28 th place with a time of 20:12 and Colton Custer finished in 42nd in 20:51. Andrew Turner was 47th and Josh Inskeep was 62nd with times of 21:13 and 22:31 respectively.

“We had 15 junior varisty and varsity runners improve for our first meet,” Athenian Coach Jared McMurry said. “I’m excited to see continued growth in the coming weeks as we get into the thick of the season.”

North Montgomery boys’ team finished seventh in the meet.

Jack Rogers finished the race in 18:38 which put him in eigth place.

Nolan Yarger’s time was 21:15 which was good for 49th.

Other Charger places and times were Drew Dark 52nd in 21:37, Kade Mitchell 53rd with a time of 21:40, Connor Laws 56th in 22:01. Kyle Ratliff ran the course in 22:11 which placed him 60th.

Charger girls finished in in eigth place. Sarah Hopper topped the team by finishing in 18th place with a time of 24:16.

Other finishers for North Montgomery were Katelyn Woolwine 24th in 25:02, Kendra McClamroch 45th in 27:20 and Avery Gayler 43rd in 27:47. Other Charger places were Beth Brooks 56th in 30:12 and Zoey McFarland 58th in 31:43.

Fountain Central’s teams placed seventh in the girls’ race and the boys did not have enough runners to place in the team scoring.

Fountain Central placed seventh in the girl’s event.

Other Mustang finishers were 27th place Brailey Hoagland recorded a time of 25:10. Raley Akers was the top finisher placing 14th. She ran the course in 23:55.

Emily Jones ran a 25:15 time and placed 28th. Madesyn Morgan placed 37th with a time of 27:06.
