Design work contracts related to the Purple Heart Parkway project gained approval Wednesday at the Crawfordsville Board of Public Works & Safety meeting.
The board approved a work order agreement in the amount of $45,983 with DES Engineering for the design of the water main extension, as well as a work order agreement in the amount of $57,123 with DES Engineering for the design of the sewer extension.
A work order agreement in the amount of $6,524 also was approved with DES Engineering for bid document preparation related to U.S. 231 sewer extension project.
In other business, the board:
• Learned the Splash Pad at Milligan Park will open for the season Saturday. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Approved a request from Mark Cox, street commissioner, to declare a 2009 Leaf Vac as surplus.
• Approved an agreement in the amount of $11,560 between the city and W. Enterprise for demolition work at 107 Vermont St. A storage building at the city street department is beyond repair and will be razed.
• Approved a resolution designating Constitution Row as a public street within the city.
• Corrected three previously issued work orders from May 10. They include a change in parcel number for 214 Whitlock Ave.; a corrected property owner for 601 Robinson; and a corrected address and property owner for 28 Center Drive.
• Approved multiple mowing work order requests from Barry Lewis, code enforcement officer, for the following properties: an empty lot between 1803/1811 Indianapolis Road, owned by Dri Holdings, LLC; 507 E. College St., owned by Don Rose; 1000 E. Market St., owned by GS Investment Property Inc.; 315 Fairlane Drive, owned by James McClurell II; 407 Fairlane Drive, owned by Rocket Mortgage LLC; 115 Simpson St., owned by John Holtson; and 313 N. Grant St., owned by Dan Malik.
