Benjamin David Fowler of Crawfordsville passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, at his home.

He was born Dec. 4, 1980, at Crawfordsville, to David and Beth Fowler, who survive him.

Ben dearly loved his daughters, Haley Fowler of Augusta, Georgia, and Isabella, Maci and Nora Fowler of Crawfordsville. He recently became a grandfather to Nyla White, also of Crawfordsville.

He also is survived by brother Jared (Renee) Fowler of Vallonia, Indiana, and sisters, Amanda (Daniel) Posid of Lynchburg, Virginia, and Liz Fowler of Avon, as well as his four-legged companion, “Bella,” who never left his side.

Ben was a self-employed contractor and the owner of Big Ben Construction. Besides working for customers in the community, he used his skills to remodel his house, which was built in 1900. Ben loved to show any visitor his newest renovations. These projects were always works of art. As a child he loved to run around with his friends, play sports, and had a love for life. As he became a teenager, he played every sport offered. He spent many days at the Boys & Girls Club and the school sports complexes.

Benjamin was known and loved by many. From the time he was a baby, until his last day, he always kept a smile on his face. His family is deeply saddened to lose him so early. Ben will be greatly missed by many. Services will be at East Side Baptist Church, 2000 Traction Road, Crawfordsville, IN 47933, on Friday, Oct. 11, 2024. Guests will be greeted by family members beginning at 10 a.m. in the hospitality area. The memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. in the church auditorium, with Pastors Steve Whicker and Nathan Chambers officiating.

Instead of sending flowers, consider donating to his GoFundMe account (https://gofund.me/6e16bf26) to help set up a trust fund for Benjamin’s minor daughters, Maci and Nora. However, if sending flowers, they may be delivered between 9-10 a.m. Friday at the church.
