COVINGTON — Let’s twist again, like we did last summer with a new show and celebrate the teen idols and teen queens of the 1950s and 60s one more time.

After a sold-out production of Teen Angels, last summer, the Beef House Dinner Theatre presents the jukebox musical, Let’s Twist Again!: A Teen Angels Story.

The musical opens July 5 with evening shows on July 5 and 12 and matinee shows on July 6, 7, 10, 11, 13 and 14.  Doors open at 6 p.m. Eastern for evening shows with the buffet at 6:15 p.m. and show at 8 p.m. For matinees doors open and buffet begins at 12:30 p.m. Eastern for a 2 p.m. show.

Travel back to a simpler time and listen to summer tunes that will take you back to picnics in the park and vacations to the beach. The story follows the summer adventures Johnny, Diana, Bill and Susie as they celebrate friendship, first love and days in the sun.  This nostalgic teenage love story will take you back in time with the help of colorful characters like the sharp dressed Dooley, the surfer Joe, Paul the lifeguard, the boyfriend stealing Ivy, a homesick frog, some rockin robins and the pelicans on the boardwalk. Songs include such hits as “Laughter in the Rain,” “Rockin Robin,” “Pink Shoelaces,” “Yellow Polka Dot Bikini,” “Diana,” “Fun, Fun, Fun,” “Surfin U.S.A.,” “Under the Boardwalk,” “Wake Up Little Susie,” “Summertime Blue,” “Here Comes the Sun” and more.

This original musical celebration features more than 30 hits from the 50s and 60s.
