BRISTOL, Ind. (AP) — Authorities say a 4-year-old boy was killed when he was hit by a pickup truck after he got out of a vehicle parked outside a gas station while his mother was inside.
The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department says Cameron Fulks of Elkhart was struck by the vehicle about 10 a.m. Saturday. He was pronounced dead at Elkhart General Hospital.
Chief Deputy Coroner James Elliot told The Elkhart Truth (http://bit.ly/1OOqTPp ) the boy died of major head trauma. The death was ruled an accident.
