Stephen “Steve” Demoret, 70, of Ankeny, Iowa, finished his race and entered the presence of the Lord on July 10, 2024.
Visitation will be held 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, July 16 at First Family Church in Ankeny. A celebration of life service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 16 at First Family Church, with a light meal to follow.
Steve was born Dec. 31, 1953, at Crawfordsville, to Donald and Vera Demoret. He attended Crawfordsville High School and graduated from Purdue University. He joyfully devoted his life to serving God in his work, first as the director of a homeless shelter, then a pastor, and finally in the human services field.
Steve is survived by wife Sara; daughter Jessica (John) Payton; and sons, Martin (Mattie) Demoret and Matthew (Jennifer) Demoret; grandchildren, Joseph, Jonathan and James Payton, Leighton, Elias, Eden and Luca Demoret and Lucas, Eva, Zachary and Lainey Demoret; sister Vicki Demoret; brother Douglas (Linda) Demoret; as well as many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
