Colleen Abston (holding Milo the cat) poses with her day care children at 1102 Lane Ave. The group set up a lemonade and cookie stand Thursday to raise funds for the Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County. Abston said they chose the fundraiser as a way to say thank you to the AWL after Milo went missing for nearly two weeks. Abston contacted the AWL when he didn’t return home and they shared his photo. When he was eventually found near the Twin Oaks subdivision earlier this week, he was taken to the shelter and they knew who to contact. Abston and the children are grateful to have Milo home.
