Jill Pettit

Jill Pettit is the mortgage portfolio manager at Hoosier Heartland State Bank.

She has lived in Montgomery County for 13 years. She has been married to Brandon Pettit for 19 years and they have two daughters, Olivia and Vanessa.

In her spare time, Pettit volunteers as the team leader for the stewardship committee at Whitesville Christian Church, and also volunteers with the Montgomery County United Band & Guard and the Montgomery County CERT program.

The song that makes her get up and dance or sing along to is “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” by Justin Timberlake.

Her reaction when she was asked to be a Star for Dancing with the Montgomery County Stars was shock that someone thought of her and said “she would be a great dancer!”

She hopes that it was more along the line of “she is outgoing, does a lot for the community and she won’t say no!”

Pettit decided to participate in the YSB fundraiser because, as she said, “Being the largest fundraiser the YSB has every year, I was honored to have the opportunity to support the YSB and all the programs they offer.”

She believes the public should come to the event and support her and partner Matt Allen, because “I would love the community to come watch all the dancers, have a wonderful dinner and evening out, all while doing their part to support all the YSB programs. This might also be the opportunity they are looking for to learn more about the programs the YSB has to offer and what they can do as an individual to support the youth of our community.”

Matt Allen

Matt Allen is Ripco location manager. He has lived in Montgomery County for 10 years.

In his spare time, he coaches at Southmont, is a radio on air personality, and follows his kids’ sporting events. He is married to his wife Shelley, and they have two children, Faith and Clay. Faith is a sophomore at Purdue Fort Wayne and Clay is a junior at Southmont.

Matt learned to dance 25 years ago in Atlanta after taking lessons. He and his wife continued to dance and have taught youth groups for our church. He loves to swing dance so his favorite music is anything he can swing to from big band to country.

Allen chose to participate in the YSB fundraiser because he believes it’s important to give back to the community. This fundraiser gives him a chance to have fun while doing that.

“Everyone should come out and support Jill and me as well as the rest of the dancers,” Allen said. “This is a huge time commitment for all involved and we are doing it for the sole purpose of supporting young people in Montgomery County. They are the future. Give back to the community by coming and getting a good laugh as we try to compete against some stiff competition in the fundraising event of the year.”
