Mary Kathryn (Inman) McMahan, 90, of Crawfordsville, passed away Sunday, Aug. 11, 2024, at home.
She was born Aug. 27, 1933, at Crawfordsville, to the late Howard and Mary (Harmon) Inman.
Mary attended Crawfordsville High School and was proud she received her GED at the age of 60. She worked at Littleville Day Care for many years and was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Keenagers Group, and a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed word search puzzles, collecting butterflies, feeding the squirrels, and spending time with her family.
On Dec. 9, 1950, she married Oral Jay McMahan. He preceded her in death Feb. 21, 2005.
She is survived by son Tim (Terri) McMahan of Covington; daughter Linda (Bruce Graham) Swank of Crawfordsville; two granddaughters, Latisha (Michael) Kemp and Latosha (Ray) Duncan; many great-grandchildren; nephews, Bill Douglas and Tommy Inman; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jay; sister Margaret Glover; and two brothers, Thomas Inman and Robert Inman.
Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S. Washington St., on Monday, Aug. 19 from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Oak Hill North Cemetery.
In lieu of flower, memorial donations may be given to the Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County, 1104 Big Four Arch Road, Crawfordsville, IN 47933 or the First Baptist Church, 1905 Lebanon Road, Crawfordsville, IN 47933.
