INF-BPW

Posted

The Crawfordsville chapter of INF-BPW has long had a presence in our community and has implemented many beneficial programs throughout its history.

Like many other organizations, BPW took a hard hit during the pandemic and as a result membership, funding and programs were diminished.

However, the 2023-24 Executive Committee made the commitment to reboot, rebuild and restore our local organization to a new level.

Over the course of the past business year our membership doubled enabling us to hold our trademark Reality Store and Spring Fever Fair and initiate new programs.

With community support, BPW hosted the well received and well attended Human Trafficking forum which proved to be an eye opening event for our community.

Another new project was launching our  high school Educational Awards. A graduating woman from each of our local high schools received an unrestricted award from BPW for post secondary education.

This year’s recipients were Aleyah Jones from Crawfordsville High School, Sydney Neideffer from North Montgomery High School and Megan Andrews from Southmont High School.

As these young women head off to college BPW salutes each of them and their accomplishments. These young women and many more like them are the future leaders in our community and BPW is honored to have a place in their journey.

But this story doesn’t end here.

It was inevitable that growing our local would bring new faces and fresh ideas to our doorstep.

This year’s Executive Committee is a combination of seasoned members and new members. Capitalizing on the experience of our existing members and the fresh ideas of our new members BPW is on the cusp of yet another milestone year.

We recognize that not everyone wants to be in charge and our community is full of individuals who are most happy being worker bees. Whatever your comfort level, we invite you to join us in our journey to become a more vibrant women’s business group in Crawfordsville.

We meet at the Crawfordsville District Public Library the first Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. for networking and 6 p.m. for a business meeting.

Come see how BPW can help you achieve your goals and benefit our community.
