Ben Hur earns Bronze National Quality Award

Posted

Ben Hur Health and Rehabilitation, a member of American Senior Communities, has been recognized with the coveted American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) 2024 Bronze National Quality Award.

Ben Hur Health and Rehabilitation Center joins 25 other ASC communities as new 2024 recipients, adding to the previous 36 ASC communities who have already achieved and maintain AHCA/NCAL Bronze status. ASC accounts for over a third of all the communities in Indiana recognized with this special distinction.

This year’s twenty-six new awardees place American Senior Communities as the nation’s second-highest number of 2024 Bronze – Commitment to Quality Awards presented to senior communities for dedication to enhancing the lives of residents through quality care.

Bronze Level recognition is the first of three progressive award levels through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program. The Program honors providers across the nation that have demonstrated their dedication to enhancing the quality of care for our nation’s elders and individuals with disabilities.

The AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program is a rigorous three-level process reviewed and evaluated by trained experts against a set of nationally recognized standards for organizational excellence. The standards of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program help organizations achieve superior performance over time to improve the quality of life and care of long-term care residents.

“Earning this award is a significant milestone, and we are incredibly proud of our teams. This honor would not be possible without their deep commitment to our core values, Compassion, Accountability, Relationships and Excellence. The process of achieving the Bronze Award truly strengthens the teams,” said Steve Van Camp, CEO of American Senior Communities.

The National Quality Awards will be presented Oct. 6-9 in Orlando, Florida.
