ROACHDALE — The board of directors of Tri-County Bank and Trust has appointed John P. Young as the bank’s next President and CEO, Chairman Kirt Ramsay announced.

Young will begin serving in that role effective Oct. 1.

Originally from Anderson, Young was previously President/Chief Executive Officer and Chief Lending Officer of KCB Bank in Lakin, Kansas. He has more than 30 years of experience serving Indiana community banks in Lawrenceburg, Bath and Brookville.

“John brings a robust resume to this role, having prior CEO experience at a $318 million dollar bank,” Ramsay said. “We are particularly excited that John has demonstrated commitment to community, as well as a strong desire to develop his team. We were looking for someone who was an excellent fit with our core values and a desire to serve our customers and our communities. We found both in John Young.”

“I am excited to join the Tri-County Bank & Trust family and look forward to helping the organization achieve new levels of success,” Young said. “The bank is deeply rooted in the community and aligns with philosophy toward servant leadership. TCB customers should feel confident knowing that superior customer service is our number one priority. My wife and I look forward to meeting everyone and becoming a part of a great community.”

Young is a graduate of Thomas More University with a master’s degree in leadership and organizational management. He is also an alumnus of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin.

Young is an avid fisherman and enjoys boating, hiking and cycling with his wife. He and his wife, Roseanne, have four adult children. They intend to reside in Montgomery County.
