Chargers sweep Clovers

North Montgomery traveled Monday to Cloverdale and beat the Clovers 3-0.

Piper Ramey had 28 assists and Kaydence Young had 14 kills and four blocks. Caelyn Carpenter had five blocks and five aces.

The Chargers travel to West Lafayette on Thursday.

Mounties beat Cadets

Southmont girls’ soccer team defeated Cascade 2-1 at Clayton on Monday. 

The Mounties (5-7) had goals from Molly Williams and Kaelynn Sanburn. Williams and Jada Graves each has assists.

Southmont played Crawfordsville on Tuesday and will host South Vermillion on Saturday.

 

Tri-West shuts out Chargers

The North Montgomery girls’ soccer team was shutout Monday at home against Tri-West. The Bruins won 9-0.

Charger Coach Julie Hodges said her team continues to learn and grow.

“We are still struggling against top tier teams,” Hodges said. “We can’t seem to find balance or play as a unit and that will be our next step as we look to improve.”

The Chargers will host Crawfordsville on Thursday.

 

Tri-West beats Chargers

Tri-West defeated North Montgomery 12-3 on Monday.

The Chargers received two goals from Braydin Osborne and one goal from Sam Woolwine. Joseph Padron earned two assists.

The Chargers were shorthanded due to illness and injury to their two goal keepers. Charger coach Tristan Hall mentioned his substitute goalie after the game.

“I was really proud of Sam Rogers for stepping up and playing goalie for us since we were without our two goalies,” Hall said.
