Franciscan Health Crawfordsville was awarded accreditation from the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program, an independent, accreditation organization recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. It earned this distinction after the HFAP conducted an extensive and objective review of the quality and safety standards of Franciscan Health Crawfordsville.

“Franciscan Health Crawfordsville clearly demonstrates a commitment to quality patient care,” said Lawrence Haspel, D.O., chairman of the Bureau of Healthcare Facilities Accreditation for the HFAP. “We base our decision on federal standards, as well as recognized national standards for patient safety, quality improvement, and environmental safety. Franciscan Health Crawfordsville met or exceeded the standards in every case.”

“We’re proud to achieve this prestigious distinction,” said Terry Klein, chief operating officer for Franciscan Health Crawfordsville. “The awarding of the HFAP accreditation is a significant achievement that recognizes our commitment to providing outstanding care to our patients and our community. In fact, quality is consistently the priority focus in our strategic plans and goals.”
