Franciscan Health Crawfordsville announces its community education luncheon series for 2018.

Upcoming dates and topics include:

• 11:30 a.m. Sept. 6: “Afib: What Are My Options?” — presented by Dr. Louis Janeira, a cardiologist with Franciscan Physician Network Indiana Heart Physicians in Crawfordsville. Atrial fibrillation, or Afib, is a condition where the heart beats irregularly at a high rate. When severe, this condition can lead to a heart attack or stroke. Janeira will discuss signs and symptoms of Afib and the several treatment options available, including a new procedure that may permanently correct the condition when diagnosed early.

• 11:30 a.m. Oct. 4: “Medicare 101” — presented by representatives of Franciscan Insurance Services.

• 11:30 a.m. Nov. 1: “Stress and Time Management — Creating a Balance in Work, Life and Play” — presented by Toni Halgas from the Franciscan Health Employee Assistance Program. Halgas will focus on how to prevent and deal with stress and time efficiency.

Each session will be held at Bonzel Hall, located inside the visitor entrance to Franciscan Health Crawfordsville. Lunch will be provided. .
