Plasma is the liquid portion of your blood that carries blood components throughout the body. Plasma is collected and processed into a wide variety of therapeutics, including blood clotting proteins to treat hemophilia, immune support therapies, blood volume replacements and surgical sealants that benefit thousands of people every day.

How does plasma donation work?
The donation process works in a similar way to a typical blood donation, but the plasma is separated from the blood and the other blood elements are returned to your body. The process takes about an hour, and eligible volunteers can donate as often as twice a week! Additionally, donors are compensated for the time and commitment they make in donating plasma.
