A big community cheer goes out to all that participated and sponsored our annual South Montgomery Schools Dollars for Scholars Golf Scramble. Our original chapter vision was always to enhance and fulfill the needs of our future leaders as they continue to pursue their career pathways. Our chapter applauds all local groups as well in their visions and successes — as a community we can collectively make a difference for our youth. A special thank you to Todd Douglas, Bill Whalen and the Crawfordsville Country Club for their attention to detail in making our golf scramble an historic success.
And then there is Southmont graduate Heath Whalen. A top shelf likeable guy who tees the ball high in spirit, gentlemanship, respect, loyalty and love for his Southmont Mounties. Heath achieved our first Hole in One in nearly two decades of our golf scramble — a fitting tribute to a kid that returns to his roots, love for his family and his school community. Can’t beat that even with a paid mulligan!
Thank you to all organizations in our community in making a difference for our kids. They are our future! Standing ovations all around.
