INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels says in an interview that he would have plenty of prominent Republican support and strong fundraising if he decided to run for president.
Daniels told Washington-based Politico he was being encouraged by many business and political figures to enter the 2012 race. But he noted it “would be safe to say” his wife, Cheri, is uneasy with a campaign.
Daniels also told reporters outside his office at the capitol that he is still weighing all of his options.
