Dress rehearsal the night before is open to the public

Posted

Dancing with the Montgomery County Stars is sold out, but you still have a chance to see the show.

On May 17, the public is invited to attend a Top-Hat Dress Rehearsal at the Wabash College Knowling Fieldhouse. For a minimum donation of $10 (cash only) to your favorite dancing pair, community members will be able to see the full dancing program. There are no pre-ticket sales for this event, each adult and child over 14 (children under 14 get in free) simply make their $10 donation to benefit their favorite dancing pair at the door. This provides supporters of the dancers an opportunity to help them reach their fundraising goals and compete for top fundraising honors. Doors open at 6:30 with the program starting at 7 p.m.

The evening’s entertainment will be similar to the main event. It is an opportunity for the dancers to practice one last time in front of a live audience. All the dancers will be in costume and will complete their dance just as they will on Saturday.

This year’s dancing pairs are: Mark Elizondo and Ashley Clute; Darren Foreman and Katie Wallace; Darla Goodrich and Steve Frees; Jeff McCandless and Georgia Taylor; Mike Melvin and Ashley Kight; Jill Pettit and Matt Allen; Skylar Stevenson and Stefanie Deaton; Mark Ward-Bopp and Jessyca South; Laurie Vellner and Kaylynn Keedy Ranspach.
