Single-vehicle crash causes serious bodily injury

LEBANON — On Wednesday, at approximately 10:22 a.m., the Boone County Sheriff’s Office and Lebanon Police Department were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash with entrapment in the 4500 block of North U.S. 52. 

Upon arrival, first responders located a silver 2010 Buick Lucerne, occupied by Crystal Crowder, 43, of Crawfordsville and a front seat passenger, whose name is being withheld until contact is made with family members.

Crowder was able to free herself from the vehicle before first responders arrived. The passenger, who was ejected from the vehicle and trapped underneath the vehicle, was transported to a local hospital with serious bodily injuries. Crowder was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time. The incident remains under investigation by the Boone County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team.
